Dylan Abraham

Psychology Intern - Content & Outreach

I'm passionate about creating safe, inclusive spaces where queer individuals feel fully supported, and I'm excited to continue learning how to make mental health care more affirming for everyone.

Hi, I'm Dylan (she/her/hers), and I'm currently a student at the University of Michigan, where I’m double majoring in Psychology and Communications.

I have always been fascinated by how the mind works, like what shapes our behaviors and emotions, and I care deeply about supporting others.

Over time, I have had a growing interest that lies in the intersection of psychology and sexuality. This passion has been shaped by both my personal experiences and stories I have heard either from the media or those immediately surrounding me.

In today’s world, we all hold different identities, but I believe that we are all perfectly different and beautifully unique in our own ways. However, when it comes to being a part of the LGBTQ+ community, there is often a lack of accessible and affirming psychological resources. That being said, I am passionate about and have a deep desire to contribute to creating a safe and inclusive space for queer individuals to feel fully seen, understood, and supported.

During my internship here, I am excited to gain insight into the therapeutic process and to learn more about various approaches, expand my understanding of inclusive mental health practices, and contribute meaningfully to the work happening behind the scenes.

When I’m not working or studying, I love staying active and spending time with the people I love. You can usually find me at the gym, in the kitchen baking something sweet, or spending time with my friends and family–especially during my summer break at home.
