Hi, I’m Kate (she/her/hers), and I view therapy as a collaborative partnership grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and evidence-based practices. My approach is person-centered, as I believe each individual has the capacity to grow and create meaningful change. I tailor treatment to honor each person’s unique story and needs.

I work with individuals as well as couples and relationships of all kinds. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients increase self-awareness, strengthen relationships, build coping skills, and work toward personal goals. While working with partners, I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method to deepen connection, improve communication, and navigate conflict with more clarity and compassion.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Manhattan University and a dual Master’s in Special and General Education from Bank Street Graduate School of Education. My experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults across diverse cultural, racial, gender, and sexual identities—work that continues to shape my commitment to co-creating inclusive, empowering therapeutic spaces.

With a background in education, I see myself as a lifelong learner, continually growing both personally and professionally. Together, we’ll work to help you lead a more fulfilling life—aligned with your values, goals, and inner strengths.
